Len Butler
FRAMER
Born in Collie, Western Australia, in 1959, Len’s career started in 1974 as a bookbinder for the government printing office. He worked there for 21 years where he learnt all aspects of bookbinding.
Len currently still works in the printing trade as a machine binder. However, over the past 10 years he has been building up a home-based picture framing business, Butler Framing and Art, and plans to retire from the printing trade in 2025.
Butler Framing and Art was born out of a passion for framing his wife Claire’s paintings and slowly grew to servicing customers with all styles of framing. Len’s love for picture framing utilises all his hand and measurement skills acquired over the course of his career resulting in high quality framing.
Claire Butler
ABORIGINAL ARTIST
Claire’s Indigenous background and love for Australian native wildflowers and landscapes inspired her passion of acrylic painting and Indigenous art in 2016.
Born in Mt Lawley, Perth, Western Australia in 1960, Claire’s ancestry follows back to the traditional land of the Garawa people in the Northern Territory where her Father and Grandmother were born and raised.
Claire’s art tells many stories whilst incorporating the vibrant colours of the land, it’s flora and fauna as well as Australia’s native wildflowers and wildlife.
